eh-barth, not ah-bart.

There desperately needs to be a modern version of that car. Not necessarily from Lancia, but a modern take on that idea.
The Golf R is close, but just not quite there somehow. Andthe WRX/STI and RS are also not quite right either.
Maybe one cannot truly recapture that greatness. All I know is I want one, and simultaneously do not want to deal with the maintenance costs.

Also...
Dacia, as in ‘Dacia Sandero’ is DAA-CHEAH (DAA as in the same “a” sound as in Mack, like the truck)
And FIAT is FEE-OUGHT, not FEE-AT. :)
...and Skoda uses your best Sean Connery voice and is not ‘Sco-da’, but actually ‘Shco-da’ in Czech. :)

Right, but you don’t pronounce the ‘th’, so it’s ‘Eh-bart’ :)

PSA is Peugeot and Citroen :p
Unless they bought them from Chrysler hahaha
(sorry, I had to!)

WRONG.

...but Italians and Abarth themselves pronounce it without the ‘th’?

There are quite a few companies who could replicate the greatness, but none with the courage to replicate the quirkiness. I’ve driven one and they’re pretty wacky little cars

I will forever reverse to European automaker names by their official Top Gear pronunciation.
So lan-see-uh it is.
Fight me.

I'd say FIAT actually is FEE-AT

We just need more quirky manufacturers, period. But sadly quirky, sporty, unique and all those just doesn’t sell these days. I mean look at Saab. All those remain are those who make appliances, or those who had a heart but have to give in to beigeness.

I kind of hate you for having driven one.
It's on my bucket list of cars to drive.

Italians pronounce it FEE-OUGHT -

I think the closest thing we have nowadays is FCA; putting little easter eggs all over their cars. But yeah, hopefully someday truly quirky cars will come back into favor

I haven’t driven it much, just enough to experience the years of turbo lag

I'm Italian, we don't pronounce it like that, I promise

FEE-AT then...?

It sounds more like that to me. Or maybe I just can't pronounce "ought"...
